Here is my Seven Point Plan to achieving financial strength, security, and independence. Follow it closely, and just wait for the outstanding results. That’s what I’m doing:
- Enter the prime earning years of your life.
- Leave your job and volunteer on an upstart, underdog Presidential campaign.
- Establish a second residence in another state and incur thousands of dollars in expenses in order to accept a full time volunteer position on the campaign.
- When push is truly coming to shove, and it looks like you’ll have to leave the campaign, accept a full time, paid position at approximately 20% of your previous annual income. Note with grim, giddy humor that you used to pay more in taxes than your current wages.
- Arrange for your spouse to give birth to twins.
- Become a stay-at-home Dad.
- Wait for the sweet stream of security and wealth to rush to your door.
Are you with me?
I think I saw this on a late-night infomercial and thought it was too good to be true, but you're living proof.

WOW! Am I with you? You BET I am. Alas, the prime earning years of my life as I see them are not coinciding with any presidential campaign (wish you had come up with your plan eight or so years ago). Instead, green with envy, I'll watch you amass huge wealth while I sit in my rocking chair and curse your 7-Point-Plan.

A plan I would consider, were it not for the fact that I have already thrown over my own corporate gig for a financially feckless (though otherwise grand) career path.
I think the person who said "do what you love and the money will follow" loved making money.

Don't you want to change the name of your site to "What's the point?" or "How did I get here?" Only kidding... I think your Seven Point Plan is fabulous. I'm on a similar one, except I've never volunteered for anything, I've never left the town I grew up in (never mind the state), and I don't have twins.
